Leaving the pitch after Flamengo's rout of Portuguesa, Ninho youth Felipe Vizeu praised the team's unity in yet another great triumph. At Raulino de Oliveira Stadium in Volta Redonda, Flamengo won 5-1 in their debut match in the Taça Rio, the second round of the Campeonato Carioca.
"The team is very united, creating this spirit here, and it's something very important. We gain more confidence from the fans and the coaching staff every week. It's essential that we keep winning games. We went out on the field and did a good job, with a lot of humility and dedication. We're taking it step by step," said the young center forward.
Vizeu celebrated the victory, but is already thinking about the match this Wednesday (15), when attention turns to the Conmebol Libertadores Bridgestone. The Mais Querido will travel to Chile next week, where they will face the Universidad Católica team.
"We left here very happy with this victory and now it's time to focus on the Libertadores. God willing, we'll do a great job there and get another victory," he added.
The match against the Chilean team, valid for the second round of the group stage of the continental competition, will take place at the San Carlos de Apoquindo stadium, with the ball rolling from 21:45 pm.
