Scorer of the goal that decided the match against Vitória last Thursday (02), the player spoke about the transition from the youth team to the professional team and about Zé Ricardo, with whom he meets again in a new moment in both their careers.

I always try to prioritize the team. Scoring goals is a natural part of football. The important thing was to come away with the three points. Now we need to focus on the next step, which is Palmeiras. 

Flamengo is about grit. There are days when the technical side isn't up to snuff, so we have to play with willpower and the weight of the jersey. I always take that approach. Just because I'm a striker doesn't mean I'll focus solely on that. Helping out defensively is also crucial for the team.

I've known Zé Ricardo since the youth academy. He was the one who brought me to the club. He works and studies hard. We've been successful with him in charge, and that's important; the group gains confidence. He talks to us a lot, asks the players a lot of questions, as he doesn't yet know the more experienced players very well. He always brings us lots of new things, different exercises. This has been great for everyone.

Players who come up through the youth ranks feel comfortable in the professional ranks because of the way the group has embraced us. Sometimes we can't let ourselves go as much during this transition process, but this squad has helped us a lot. Besides the fans, who are incredibly supportive, this confidence also comes from the work. Peace of mind is essential for us to play our best football.

It was important to get the three points against Vitória, but now we have to focus on the match against Palmeiras. We need to train well to perform well. It's going to be a very difficult match. We'll stay focused in tomorrow's training session, understand what the coach will teach us, and play our best football on Sunday.
