For the young defender Welinton, this improvement is due to the unity that the Flamengo group has been demonstrating in recent days.

 "The evolution was a little bit of everything. The losses were significant, but the group closed ranks, united, and showed the awareness that it can go far in the championship. While the difference is large, it's also small. There are many well-known players who are also humble, like those who come up from the youth ranks. Everyone here is equal, they treat each other well, and that helps a lot," he stated.

Happy with the fact that they haven't conceded any goals, Welinton believes that, despite the good record, the Flamengo team cannot be complacent.

"We've been working hard with the intention of not conceding goals. The fewer goals you concede, the better. We have to keep our feet on the ground, stay serious, and continue in this vein," said the player, who emphasized the importance of the more experienced players in the group for the success of the young players promoted from the youth academy.

"Pet, Angelim, Leo Moura, and Juan are the most experienced guys. They help out, give advice, and when it comes time to get on the field and play our football, that gives us peace of mind. Especially in the defensive sector, there's already a positioning, a way of playing, and that helps a lot. I've settled in seriously, without messing around back there, so that things can always work out," added the 21-year-old defender.
