Welinton: "The road is difficult, but we cannot be intimidated."

A sequence that everyone knows is difficult and naturally causes concern among Flamengo fans. But young defender Welinton warns: this will not diminish Flamengo's motivation to seek victories.
\The first challenge is this coming Saturday against Atlético Mineiro in Sete Lagoas. A complicated match, full of rivalry, and one that Welinton sees as fundamental for Flamengo. According to him, Flamengo's first objective, before anything else, is to return from Minas Gerais with three points.
\"We need to be more focused and concentrated than before to play a great game. Atlético will come at us with everything they've got, because they're under more pressure. We'll do everything to get a positive result. The mindset is to win, because we need the victory. It's about winning first and then thinking about the number of points," said the player, who knows the recipe for success in this final stretch: determination.
\"I haven't been doing the math, I haven't been thinking about it, but the possibility is real and we can't let it happen. We have to fight to get out of this situation. A win on Sunday would already help us a lot," he noted.
\Welinton admits that Flamengo's journey until the end of the season is not the easiest, but he believes the team is fully capable of achieving the positive results it needs.
\"The path is complicated, there are great teams, but Flamengo is there, they have to overcome them to stay in the First Division," he concluded.
