This Thursday (21), before training at Ninho do Urubu, midfielder Willian Arão gave a press conference in the Victorino Chermont Press Room. On the eve of another FlaxFlu, the player spoke about his moment in the team, Gabigol's phase and the return of idol Juan.

"We have strategies for each game. In that game (the Guanabara Cup semifinal), we adopted one that was working well. We conceded a goal at the end, but, without a doubt, if Abel sees fit to adopt another strategy, that's what we'll do. It's a classic, and we know how important it is."

Praised by coach Abel Braga, the midfielder evaluated his performance in the matches.

"I'm happy with my performance. I demand a lot from myself, I analyze my matches. I always try to improve because I know I can give more as a player. I want to continue evolving and helping my team," said the Mais Querido's number 5.

When asked about defender Juan's return from injury, Arão celebrated and highlighted the opportunity to play with the star.

"I'm very happy. It's an honor for me to be playing alongside him. I try to take advantage of every moment I have with him to talk about football, joke around, and hear about his experiences. He's a fantastic human being. A 40-year-old overcame the worst injury of his career and came back. May we follow his example. I've certainly learned a lot from him every day," he emphasized.

Regarding Gabigol's goalscoring form, the midfielder praised the number 9's dedication and partnership with his teammates.

"We know he's a goalscorer, that he can decide a match at any moment. We know his quality. We're happy and hope to continue helping him have more chances and score more goals. He's our center forward, and even when he doesn't score, he helps us a lot," he said.
