Willian Arão and Alex are introduced
Defensive midfielder and goalkeeper are Flamengo's reinforcements for 2016
By Communication - Official Club Website - inAfter training this Sunday morning (10.01), Flamengo presented two more reinforcements for the 2016 season. Midfielder Willian Arão and goalkeeper Alex were officially announced by Mais Querido.
Willian Arão arrives at Flamengo after standing out for Botafogo in the 2015 Série B competition. The midfielder has played for Espanyol-ESP, Grêmio Barueri, São Paulo and Corinthians, where he was part of the squad that won the Libertadores and the 2012 World Cup. Arão did not hide his satisfaction at the chance to play for Rubro-Negro.
"It's a great opportunity to play for the team with the biggest fan base in Brazil, in the world. I want to help win titles and make history. What's done is done. Today I'm a Mengão fan," he declared.

Alex, born in Três Corações, Minas Gerais, is 26 years old. He began his career at Votoraty, São Paulo. He then played for Comercial, São Paulo, where he earned his nickname; Cuiabá, Mato Grosso, and Shonan Bellmare in Japan. After a stint at Mirassol, he joined Figueirense, where he excelled in the 2015 Brazilian championship. The goalkeeper expressed gratitude for the welcome he received upon arriving at the "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved).
"I was very well received by all the athletes. The goalkeepers are excellent, it will be a healthy competition. Paulo Victor was the first to embrace me. I played in a few places, but now it's Flamengo. I'm sure it will be a very good year," he said.
