Willian Arão is Flamengo's new signing
Midfielder played for Botafogo in 2015 and arrives to play next season

Clube de Regatas do Flamengo confirms an agreement with athlete Willian Arão. The player arrives on a three-year contract and will join the Flamengo squad on January 6th, the date of the team's presentation.
"Arão had a great season, he caught the attention of every coach in Brazil, without a doubt. He's a modern, young second midfielder who infiltrates the field, scores goals, and most importantly, he chose to play for Flamengo. That's crucial; he's coming here with a lot of desire to help us," analyzed coach Muricy Ramalho.

Arão began his career at Grêmio Barueri's youth academy and transferred to São Paulo, where he won the 2008 São Paulo Junior Cup. After a stint at Espanyol, Willian Arão returned to Brazil to play for Corinthians, the club with which he won the Copa Libertadores da América and the Club World Cup in 2012, as well as the Campeonato Paulista and the Recopa Sudamericana in 2013. Last season, the athlete played for Botafogo.
