After technical training this Tuesday afternoon, at CT Ninho do Urubu, in Vargem Grande, midfielder Willians celebrated his nomination for the 2009 Brasileirão Player of the Year award. The number 8 is one of seven Flamengo players nominated for the championship award.

"I was very happy when I found out. It's recognition of the work I've been doing since I arrived at Flamengo. I'm very grateful to the Club for this nomination. To my teammates too, because without them I wouldn't be remembered. I'll work harder and harder to improve."

Bruno, Léo Moura, Ronaldo Angelim, Maldonado, Willians, Petkovic, Adriano and Andrade (coach) were also nominated for the award.
