Alvaro, who scored the second penalty for Vasco, also thanked the goalkeeper for preventing defeat.

"We call Bruno the Elastic Man. He's very agile and is currently one of the best goalkeepers in the country. He made a difference again and is always helping us with his saves. I conceded the second penalty and didn't want it to cause a setback for the team," said Álvaro.

Coach Andrade even lobbied for the red-black goalkeeper in the Brazilian National Team.

"Bruno is among the three best goalkeepers in Brazil. He deserves a spot in the national team, yes, for all the work he's been doing at Flamengo," he analyzed.

This isn't the first time Bruno has been crowned the star of a match by saving two penalties. Against Santos in last year's Brasileirão, he also saved two penalties.
