But anyone who thinks this upsets the player is mistaken. On the contrary, he only has praise for the new coach's work and believes the group is very satisfied with him.
According to the player, the chemistry between the squad and Vanderlei has been very good, and that's why the positive results have started to appear (Flamengo is undefeated for eight rounds). For Willians, the team can still improve – and will do so in this final stretch of the Brasileirão.
"Since he took over, we've been doing our job, he's doing his, he's a great coach. It's working out. We have to keep going. He's doing well and we're focused. In training, we'll be able to improve. Everyone is focused, we're working hard," he said.
The midfielder believes that the game against Atlético-PR, this Sunday (November 07.11th), is another chance to prove this improvement. A victory at home is considered fundamental by the number eight.
"We've had tough games away from home. We're progressing, scoring goals, creating chances. Now, we have to think about the home game, about coming away with the victory. We're dreaming, and with two wins we'll be able to dream about this Copa Sudamericana," he concluded.
