One of Flamengo's standout players in yesterday afternoon's 3-0 victory over Tupi at Granja Comary, midfielder Willians is eagerly awaiting the team's debut in the Campeonato Carioca on Sunday against Friburguense at Maracanã. A former Santo André player, Willians can't wait to meet the Flamengo fans.

"The anticipation is high. I'm sure it'll give me butterflies. Flamengo's fans are wonderful and support the team all the time. I can't wait to see all those fans at Maracanã. I'm looking forward to taking the field, whether as a starter or a substitute."

Even after his great performance in the training match, when he scored one of the winning goals, Willians does not believe he has secured a place in the starting eleven on Sunday.

"I'm here to do my job, always respecting my teammates. I'm available to help Cuca. It could be starting or coming off the bench. I know Flamengo has great players in midfield, and the competition will be good and healthy. Flamengo will be the winner. I'm working to earn the coach's trust."
