Willians can't wait to get back to playing
The midfielder has a broken hand and will only return to the field after the World Cup.

The biggest ball thief in the last Brazilian Championship and a key player in Flamengo's scheme since arriving at Gávea in early 2009, midfielder Willians is having a different year in 2010. His willingness, his tackles and his quality in getting the ball out remain the same, however, the number 8 has been battling against a tough opponent this season: injuries.
At the start of the Campeonato Carioca, he was sidelined for over a month due to an ankle injury. Now, with a fractured right hand, he has missed Flamengo's last two games and will only return after the World Cup.
"Unfortunately, I'll be out of action for a few days, but I think I'm recovering well. It's not bothering me as much anymore, and I'll work hard to come back better after the World Cup," he said.
Famous for his dedication on the field, he reveals that being unable to play due to an injury is one of the worst things that can happen in a player's career.
"We suffer a bit, don't we? Every player wants to get on the field and being left out because of an injury is really bad. But it happens. We're subject to getting injured," he explained.
Coach Rogério Lourenço has already tested more than one player in Willians' position and the player, aware of his importance, believes that all the midfielders in the squad can replace him.
"I have complete confidence in my teammates. Lenon, Fernando, and Maldonado are all very talented and have my support. I'm rooting for them and for us to win again," he concluded.
