Willians is doing very well at Flamengo. Signed at the beginning of last year, he established himself in the starting lineup, gained fan recognition, won five state titles and six Brazilian titles, became the top ball stealer in the last edition of the Brasileirão, and is now being considered for the Brazilian national team. Such success, however, could lead other clubs to take an interest in the player.
Recent reports have linked the midfielder to a move to European football. In a press conference after training on Friday (August 20.08) at Gávea, he revealed that he is not participating in any negotiations, reiterated his desire to do his best with Flamengo and said that his agent is in charge of receiving possible offers.
"I don't know, and I see these things online. My agent is looking into these things, and I'm at Flamengo giving my all, and the club is what matters to me. I'm never worried about offers, and that will be my job. I'm happy here. The board and the committee support me a lot. Whatever will be, will be," said the player, who guarantees that his football will not be affected by the speculation.
"I'm not even thinking about that. Flamengo opened its doors to me, and I have a lot of affection for the club. I just think about giving my best and working hard. The work I've been doing has been pleasing, and I want to work even harder and improve as quickly as possible," he said.
Regarding the Brazilian national team, the dream exists, and for the player, it could soon become a reality, if he maintains the good form he has been showing at Gávea.
"I do dream of making the national team. There are some very high-quality players, and I need to work hard. I think that by doing my job, I'll make it," he concluded.
