After the activities of this Friday (03) at Ninho do Urubu, which marked the penultimate day of preparation for the Fla-Flu this Sunday (05), Zé Ricardo appeared at the Victorino Chermont Press Room, where he gave a press conference.
As expected, the derby against Fluminense was the focus of the journalists during the interview. The coach commented on his first final as the manager of the red-and-black professional team.

"It's a great satisfaction, after so long at the club, to be reaching the first final in the professional category. Let's hope that in the short time left until the start of the final, everything works out in the best possible way. May we, together with the Fluminense team, put on a great show," said the red-and-black commander.

Zé also spoke about Diego's call-up to the Brazilian national team, praising all his hard work and commitment since arriving at the Mais Querido. "I'm very happy. He's an athlete who truly deserves it. With each passing day, we realize how much he deserves to be recognized for everything that's happened in his career," commented Zé Ricardo.

The coach then praised the number 35's daily demeanor, which serves as an example to the club's athletes beginning their professional careers. "We see all his dedication. He arrives early, does his preparation work, then supplements. He always eats in a well-balanced manner. He most likely leads a well-balanced life off the field as well, otherwise he wouldn't be showing off his vitality. It's a great joy, and I'm sure he will serve as an example to younger athletes, especially given the brilliant career he has built and continues to build," he added.
