The Campeonato Carioca final is approaching. In the final stretch of preparation, the Mais Querido held technical and tactical training sessions at Field 4 of Ninho do Urubu. At the end of the training session, the club's manager, Zé Ricardo, appeared in the Victorino Chermont Press Room, where he gave the final press conference before the derby against Fluminense.
Initially, the topic was the week of decisive games that will culminate in the Fla-Flu this Sunday (07), mainly about the important 3-1 victory over Universidad Católica. "It's really a special week for us. Obviously, Wednesday's game demanded a lot from us physically and technically, but mainly psychologically, because it was a victory we needed to continue with our chances in the Libertadores," said Zé Ricardo, who is currently fully focused on the classic. "Unfortunately, the spot is not yet available in this round, but now it's time to turn the cannon for Sunday's match," he added.

Seeking his first title as Flamengo's first-team coach, Zé Ricardo commented on his expectations for the match. "We're trying to regain our energy and boost our team so we can play at a high level. Everyone here feels motivated and prepared for this final," the coach praised, commenting on the team that will take the field, particularly regarding midfielder Rômulo's recovery. "After last Sunday's game, it was Rômulo's first time on the field. We'll see how he feels after training. Tomorrow we'll have a training session, where we'll practice a few more situations, and only based on his and the other players' responses will we be able to decide whether or not to make a change," he added.
