After a busy weekend, the red-and-black squad returned to CT George Helal this Monday (05) to continue preparing for the next round of the Brazilian Championship, against Ponte Preta. Coach Zé Ricardo led a tactical training session, focused on building plays from the team's defensive sector. The work then continued with attack-versus-defense exercises, using only half of the pitch.

Initially, the athletes performed muscle activation work at Flamengo's Performance Excellence Center (CEP FLA). Next, they went to Field 3 for a warm-up. Training preparation consisted of ball and physical exercises.

Still on the same field, the group began training. First, they focused on combining passes during the team's attacking moments. The playmaking process involved all players, from the goalkeeper to the center forward. Zé Ricardo provided extensive guidance to the players during the activity, especially those in midfield, as they are essential for connecting defense and attack.

Next came attack-versus-defense drills on a reduced-size field. The goal of the drill was to instruct the defensive players on positioning during opposing attacks. To conclude the day's training, the same type of drill took place, but using a larger area of ​​the field. In this final part of the drill, the attackers had just seven seconds to score.

Flamengo returns to CT this Tuesday (06), also in the morning, to train for the last time before the trip to Espírito Santo, where they will face Ponte Preta in the 23rd round of the Brazilian Championship. The match will be played at the Kléber Andrade Stadium, in Cariacica, with the ball rolling from 21:45 pm.
