Activities began this Tuesday (17) at Flamengo's Performance Excellence Center (CEP FLA), but only for the Flamengo goalkeepers. Vitor Hugo, the goalkeepers' coach, coordinated the series of exercises before the athletes went onto the pitch. The physical part was the main focus, using cones, bosu and a ball in the exercises.

The rest of the group went straight to Field 3, where they did warm-up and stretching exercises, led by physical trainer Daniel Gonçalves. Rômulo again worked separately from the other athletes, alongside another of the red-and-black physical trainers, Marcelo Martorelli. The number 27 performed his first ball workout wearing the colors of the Most Beloved, and finished his workout with a recovery run.
Next came technical training. Zé Ricardo, along with his assistant Cleber dos Santos, led the activity on Field 4 at Ninho do Urubu. Initially, the athletes focused on passing between four players, with two attempting to intercept.
Subsequently, with the squad divided into two teams, one attacking and one defending, work focused on ball possession and attacking playmaking. Midfielders exchanged passes within a demarcated perimeter in the center circle, and after exchanging eight passes without an interception by the opponent, the ball was then passed to the opposing ends of the pitch, with the aim of scoring goals against the goals defended by the red-and-black goalkeepers, who alternated between the posts.
In the afternoon, there will be further training sessions on the field, with both physical development and ball-handling exercises. The activity will be closed to the press and will begin at 16:30 p.m.
