The red-black squad met on Thursday morning (07) for another day of work at the George Helal Training Center, in Vargem Grande. Coach Zé Ricardo led the activity on a reduced field and, later, tactical training aimed at the match against Atlético-MG.
The athletes performed physical training at Flamengo's Performance Excellence Center (CEP FLA) and then headed to Field 1 to begin ball practice. As a warm-up, the athletes performed passing and movement exercises, divided into two groups. Then, training began on a reduced-size field. Three teams were formed, and each player was allowed a maximum of three touches.
Finally, tactical training took place. Zé Ricardo paused the activity several times to guide the players, and possible game scenarios were simulated. This training focused on the upcoming match, against Atlético-MG.
The Most Beloved will face the Minas Gerais team on Sunday (10), in a match valid for the 14th round of the Brazilian Championship. The game will be played at the Mané Garrincha Stadium, in Brasília, with the ball rolling from 11 am.
