Difficulties
Two things hurt us: the good performance on Saturday and the very early goal. Something that was supposed to be good ended up being bad. It wasn't the game we wanted to play, especially in terms of technical aspects. Not giving credit to Atlético would be a mistake.

substitutions
The word isn't "backing the team," it's "following our convictions and our criteria." We tried to maintain the strategy with Trauco and Ederson. Matheus, among the options we had on the bench, was the one who had played the most. After Matheus came on, I realized that Ederson wouldn't be able to last the whole game.

Vinicius could have come on if the goal hadn't been scored.

We put Romulo in for set pieces, moved Mancuello further to the left, and ended up in a 4-1-4-1 formation.

Vinicius Junior
What we don't want is for this to happen again with Vinicius. His entire promotion to the professional team was planned. I said from the beginning that he would arrive gradually and the club's plan was to register the boy for the Brazilian Championship. Today at Flamengo, nobody thinks alone; we have highly capable professionals in all areas. We will continue to be careful. He has already shown that he is getting the hang of it, and watching a game like today's, a decisive one, from the bench, is also part of his development.
