In the first match, played at Ilha do Urubu, Flamengo built an important advantage after beating the Santos team 2-0, a result recalled by the coach during the conversation with journalists.
"We were feeling a mix of joy at qualifying and a bit of frustration knowing we could have secured this spot more easily. This qualification came mainly from the game we played at Ilha do Urubu, in which we deservedly won 2-0 and could have even scored more. Now it's time to think about Botafogo in the Copa do Brasil, but on Sunday we'll have another tough challenge ahead of us: Corinthians," he said.
