Whenever Arthur Antunes Coimbra gives a press conference, it's impossible not to mention Flamengo. Last Wednesday night was no different. "Galinho" spoke to reporters at his club's headquarters, CFZ, in Barra da Tijuca, to promote the traditional "Game of the Stars," which takes place next Sunday, the 27th, at Maracanã. However, the greatest idol in the club's history couldn't help but talk about the club's sixth championship, the elections, and his former teammate Andrade's success as coach.

In fact, it was talking about "Tromba" that Zico became most emotional. After all, it was thanks to Galo that Andrade began his coaching career. Alongside Adílio, he was one of the first instructors at the Zico Football Center, back in the late 90s. After that, in the early 2000s, the sixth-time champion moved to Gávea, still as an assistant. There, he worked as an assistant coach for eleven coaches, until he received his big break and led the team to the 2009 Brazilian title.

"It was different because I opened the doors for him (Andrade) here. When I founded the soccer center, he was one of the first teachers, him and Adílio. And when I created CFZ, Andrade was the first coach I invited to take charge of the team in our first category, the youth team. Andrade worked here with the youth team, the junior team, and the professional team. Andrade was the one who was on the verge of getting CFZ promoted to the first division of the Campeonato Carioca, but we didn't make it because we lost to Portuguesa in the last game. Then he went to Flamengo, and I gave him the best support. That's my happiness. When you open the doors and people want to follow your path, it's really cool. I was very moved by the title and by Andrade," said Zico.

Despite his former teammate's success, Flamengo's greatest idol states that he has no intention of taking Andrade's position, or that of any other Brazilian club coach. At least for now.

"I don't plan on working in Brazil as a coach. I want to stay there in Europe. But they must call me stupid there too. But I don't understand what they're saying in the stands (laughs)," joked Galinho, who, in a good mood, gave his opinion on the controversy surrounding the sixth championship title, responding to the president of Sport Recife, who even stated that he would sue media outlets that treated Flamengo as six-time national champions.

"Flamengo is a six-time champion, no less. I'm just another one he's going to sue (laughs). I was the one who got beaten on the field, I was the one who ran, I was the one who fought and won, I was the one who was on the operating table the day after the match against Internacional. He won't take that title away from me. It's funny that the president of the CBF told Patrícia Amorim after she won the election that he expected her to win her seventh," he joked.

Regarding the election for another position for which his name is always highly speculated, that of the presidency of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo, Zico assured that he is rooting for the elected president, Patrícia Amorim, to do a great job starting next January 4th.

"I'm a big fan of any president who takes over Flamengo. She has a wealth of knowledge about the club, has lived there for most of her life, is a former athlete, and is the first woman to lead Flamengo. I hope she has a great administration. She understands the problems and can solve them in the best way possible," she concluded.

Zico will host Adriano, Romário and many other stars at the All-Star Game, a traditional charity game that Galinho de Quintino holds every year and which will take place on the 27th, at 17 pm, at Maracanã.
