Before joining Flamengo for the latest challenge of his career, Zico, the club's new executive director, appeared at the Maracanã stadium on Monday morning to promote the social project 1Gol: Education for All. And, as expected, the Galinho was approached about the surprising agreement with the club.

Avoiding going into details before the official presentation, this Tuesday, Zico said little, but revealed his happiness with the return to Gávea.

"This is my area of expertise. It will be a huge challenge. But I spoke extensively with Patrícia Amorim and we discussed the transformation we need to make at the club. I want to make my contribution to Flamengo. But I'll only talk more about this tomorrow (Tuesday)," he stated.

Aware that it will face a major, and perhaps the biggest, challenge in its history in football, Galinho revealed that trust in president Patricia Amorim's project was fundamental for the negotiation to have a happy ending.

"This invitation was something I've always wanted. I know the challenge and have been nurturing this idea. I trust Patrícia Amorim and see her efforts to transform the club. I hope I can help," he added.
