Flamengo promotes the first Futsal course for professionals in the field
The event, held last weekend in partnership with FFSERJ, in Gávea, welcomed 87 professional trainers in its first edition
By Ian Sena - inClube de Regatas do Flamengo's first futsal course was held on November 4th and 5th at the club's headquarters in Gávea. The course was planned in partnership with the Rio de Janeiro State Futsal Federation (FFSERJ) and aimed to impart new knowledge and serve professionals from FFSERJ-affiliated clubs, who compete in categories ranging from U-7 to U-13.
In addition to this audience, the course received several professionals who work with Futsal initiation in different segments, as well as participants from the interior of the states of Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Minas Gerais and Espírito Santo, totaling 87 students in this first class.
The completely free course covered all aspects of athlete development in the categories supported by Futsal do Mais Querido. Over the two intense days of classes and lectures, the club demonstrated how it understands and applies this training, always aligned with field soccer, a sport in which Futsal athletes also participate.
"There were nine speakers throughout the weekend, in addition to the participation of all members of the Rubro-Negro Futsal department, for a total of 20 hours, with theoretical and practical classes, in which participants were able to gain an in-depth understanding of Flamengo's work methodology and how the club's concepts are applied to the development of young athletes, using futsal as the main tool for their integration into society," explained Rodrigo Nunes, Coordinator of Flamengo's Futsal Department and co-organizer of the event, which will have new editions in 2018, open to the public.
