Last week, UERJ students had the opportunity to visit the Cláudio Coutinho Gymnasium and watch Flamengo's artistic gymnastics team train. Led by instructor Patrícia Arruda, attendees were able to understand the Flamengo team's artistic gymnastics routines.

"The goal was to demonstrate in practice what we talked about in theory so they could understand the applicability of what we learned in class. I'd like to thank the club for hosting us; everything exceeded expectations. The visit was great, and there were a lot of things happening at the same time. The students were very satisfied," explained Professor Patrícia.

Rafael Bastos, a gymnastics major and graduate, was present and also commented on the afternoon. "I was able to really enjoy the day watching the training. It was far beyond my expectations. I didn't expect it to have such a large structure. We had a more theoretical understanding, but in practice, it's always different, both with the athletes' bodies and the discipline and training routine. I really enjoyed being here," he said.

Stefani, a bachelor's student, highlighted the importance of this experience. "I was able to see in practice everything we learned in college, identifying certain things, observing how high-performance training works, the equipment, and the teachers' experience with the students. The visit was very enriching," she commented.
