Students from CIEP Nação Rubro-Negra visit Claudio Coutinho Gymnasium

Luisa Parente welcomed children from the unit for an artistic gymnastics class

In a socio-sporting action promoted by the manager of Land Sports Luisa Parente, the Claudio Coutinho Gymnasium received this Tuesday morning (13.06) a class of 25 students, all between four and six years old, from CIEP Nação Rubro-Negra, a public school neighboring Gávea. The children, accompanied by teacher Lilian Luzia, participated in an artistic gymnastics class led by the manager herself, Luisa Parente, together with Ricardo Morais, a teacher of the modality at the Sempre Flamengo Sports School.

Luisa, a former artistic gymnastics athlete, commented on the event, revealing her joy in welcoming the little ones.

"This visit was wonderful. It's a joy for me to work with young children, especially. This initiative stems from our school visit program, which is a commercial initiative for private schools, allowing children to learn more about Flamengo and artistic gymnastics. We couldn't neglect our social responsibility, so we also occasionally welcome children from public schools, who wouldn't normally have the opportunity to visit one of the best-equipped gymnasiums in South America. And it was truly a great joy; we saw the joy on the children's faces and on the teacher's, too, who was able to provide this experience to the students," he explained.

The manager also emphasized that CIEP Nação Rubro-Negra was just the first public school that the club had the pleasure of welcoming.

The Flamengo Regatas Club's artistic gymnastics teams receive funding from their sponsors—AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, and EY—via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), as well as support from the Brazilian Club Committee (CBC) through the decentralization of resources from the Pelé Law. The Flamengo Guardian Angel Project, a personal tax transfer, benefits all Olympic sports of the Most Beloved Club.
