The gymnasts of Mais Querido are preparing for another important competition. From August 15th to 19th, in Santos, the team will compete in the 2018 Brazilian Artistic Gymnastics Specialist Championship. After a strong showing at the Nationals, held in the first half of the year, the Rubro-Negro team will compete for first place in the tournament against the teams from São Bernardo do Campo, Grêmio Náutico União, and CEGIN. 

On Saturday (18), the first day of competitions, the team final of the Brazilian Adult Championship will also be held, canceled due to an incident at the Adib Moysés Dib gym, in São Bernardo do Campo, on June 24. 

With experience in the competition, the red-black Luisa Kirchmayer spoke exclusively to the Official Website about her expectations.

"Last year I competed in the Brazilian Specialist Championship, but my result wasn't very good because I was recovering from some injuries. We're confident and our main goal will be the team final, since in the first Brazilian Championship we had a problem in the gym and weren't able to compete in the final," said Luisa.

"My main apparatuses are the parallel bars and the balance beam, but the championship is a box of surprises. I'm ready and confident to do my best and the finals will be a consequence," she concluded. 

Last year, Mais Querido had three athletes in the tournament finals and reached the highest place on the podium with Lorrane Oliveira on the uneven bars.
