This Thursday (03), athletes Thauany Lee and Jade Barbosa, alongside the club's artistic gymnastics coach Keli Kitaura, were received by the President of the Republic, Dilma Rousseff, at the Planalto Palace. The three represented Flamengo in the Brazilian delegation of the sport.
With the Rio 2016 Olympic Games just around the corner, Brazil's red-and-black athletes are eagerly anticipating securing a spot at the world's biggest sporting event. The team's next stop will be in Italy, with Rebeca and Jade also scheduled to attend the test event at the Rio Olympic Arena in Barra da Tijuca from April 16 to 20.
