Flamengo's athletes will face another important challenge. The Brazilian Artistic Gymnastics Championship will be held from August 15th to 18th at the Falcão gymnasium in Praia Grande, São Paulo. Flamengo hasn't competed in the competition with a full men's team since 2012.

Josué Heliodoro, Lucas Eduardo, Roger Luiz, Cauã Siqueira, and Matheus Luís will represent the Mais Querido in the men's competition. In the women's competition, Lorenna Rocha and Isabelle Retamiro will compete. they will go in search of medals for Rubro-Negro in individual competitions.

Roberto Nassar, coach of the men's team, praised the importance of the participation of the red-and-black athletes in the competition.

"Flamengo hasn't participated in national competitions with its adult men's team since 2012. After seven years, we're going with the full group, made up of four youth athletes and one adult. I believe this will be a championship to improve the quality of the series, aiming for the Brazilian Youth Championship in November. Furthermore, the club's return to the top division of national artistic gymnastics is very important," said the Flamengo fan.

It's worth noting that, at the Brazilian Specialist Championships, held in June, Flamengo was the overall team champion in the women's category. The Meninas da Gávea took home seven medals: three gold, three silver, and one bronze.

The artistic gymnastics teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), in addition to support from the Brazilian Committee of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law..
