Flamengo welcomed Russian artistic gymnastics legend Svetlana Khorkina on Friday (12). Her track record of achievements is vast, both at the Olympic level and at the world championships. The athlete competed in her first Olympics in 1996 in Atlanta, United States, and in that competition she won her first Olympic medals: silver in the team event and gold in the individual category on the uneven bars.

The young red-and-blacks presented some of what they've learned during instructor Rhayne Araújo's classes to Svetlana and the professional team's coach Keli Kataura. The club's general vice president, Maurício Gomes de Mattos, also accompanied the gymnast on her visit to the facility.

Flamengo excels at home, regardless of the sport.
