The Brazilian artistic gymnastics team finished eighth in the team final at the Rio 2016 Games. The girls' greatest achievement was qualifying for the final, placing them among the best athletes in the sport worldwide. For this feat, the highest finish the country has ever achieved (the same as in Beijing 2008), Team Brazil featured four gymnasts from Flamengo: Daniele Hypolito, Jade Barbosa, Rebeca Andrade, and Flavia Saraiva.

This Thursday (11), Rebeca and Jade - who was chosen to replace Flavinha by the technical committee - return to the Arena for the individual all-around competition. On Monday (15), Flavia competes in the balance beam final.

The artistic gymnastics teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo have support from the Brazilian Club Confederation (CBC) from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law and with resources from its sponsor – MRS Logística – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sport (IR).
