The red-and-black artistic gymnastics team continues to shine throughout Brazil. Between September 07th and 10th, in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, the gymnasts of Mais Querido competed in the Brazilian Artistic Gymnastics Championship in the youth and pre-child categories.

In the women's junior category, Flamengo performed well, finishing second, behind only CEGIN. In the men's junior category, Flamengo qualified for the finals with Iago Cruz on vault, and Josué Heliodoro on horseback, vault, and parallel bars. In the men's junior category, Brian Barreto took sixth place, and the red-and-black team finished seventh overall.

Now the teams continue training for the season's next objectives. Between September 18th and 24th, gymnast Maria Julia Marques will represent the Brazilian national team and the "Mais Querido" (Most Wanted) team at the South American Championships in Mar del Plata, Argentina. And in October, Rebeca Andrade, gold medalist at the World Cup in Varna, will compete in the World Championships in Canada.

The Flamengo Regatas Club's artistic gymnastics teams receive funding from their sponsors—AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, and EY—via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), as well as support from the Brazilian Club Committee (CBC) through the decentralization of resources from the Pelé Law. The Flamengo Guardian Angel Project, a personal tax transfer, benefits all Olympic sports of the Most Beloved Club.
