"Today, Flamengo can proudly say that it is a citizen club. Little by little, Flamengo's Olympic sport, led by (Alexandre) Póvoa and (Marcelo) Vido, is becoming self-sufficient and today our artistic gymnastics is practically the Brazilian national team," he highlighted.
Alexandre Póvoa followed up on the president's speech, spoke about the structure of gymnastics, and warmly welcomed the athlete.

"Today is a very happy day. As the president said, three and a half years ago we had to take certain steps to get to where we are now. Today, the Cláudio Coutinho gym is on par with practically any other high-level gym in Brazil, and there's still equipment to be added. The US national team will train here, and we've managed to reach an international level. Daniele is a true Flamengo fan; she's returning home.
Daniele added to her speech, praised the club and made it clear: she never left her red-and-black heart aside.

"For me, being back home is a great joy. Being able to go to my fifth Olympics back with the club is a feeling that can't be explained. Once a Flamengo fan, always a Flamengo fan. What's done is done. Flamengo needed to restructure itself, and today I understand the president's concern about transforming the club into a platform for children to learn about sports and life," he said.
