Flamengo shone again on the second day of competition at the Brazilian Artistic Gymnastics Championships. Daniele Hypolito won the individual competition (56.950) and reached an impressive 10 titles. Another Flamengo player, Jade Barbosa, achieved the Flamengo double and took the silver medal.
The Brazilian title obviously made the little notable very happy, but what's really important is the motivation that this achievement brings for the World Cup, which will be held in October, in Japan.
"I competed well and really enjoyed it. Of course, we're never 100% satisfied, as we can always improve a little more, but it's a very special title for me. It's the tenth time I've been Brazilian champion. This title gives me confidence and the certainty that I'm ready to compete," said Hypolito.
In total, Flamengo received 11 medals in the competition: 4 gold, 4 silver and 3 bronze.
Selection for the South American children's and youth tournament
In the qualifying round that determined Brazil's representatives for the South American Championship in the children's category, Flamengo athletes Rebeca Andrade and Milena Toscano placed highest with 53.550 and 51.350, respectively, and will participate in the competition, which will be held in September in Colombia. In the youth team, Lorrane dos Santos and Isabelle Cruz represent the Rubro-Negro team.
