Gymnast Daniele Hypólito received some great news this Tuesday (2/12). After morning training, the "Little Remarkable" was informed by her coach Ricardo Pereira that her name was on the final list of the International Gymnastics Federation, on two apparatus (floor and beam), for the Grand Final of the World Cup, in Madrid, between December 12th and 14th.
"When I heard the news, I was very happy and surprised. I have to really appreciate these two last-minute spots, because I will be the only female representative from Brazil in this important competition," said Daniele, who will be joined in Spain by her brother Diego Hypólito, who will be trying to win his third title on the floor in Spain, in addition to competing in the vault final.
This will be Daniele's fourth Grand Final in her career. She competed in Stuttgart 2002 (where she competed only on the balance beam), Birmingham 2004 (where she competed on three apparatuses, except for vault), and São Paulo 2006, where she won a silver medal on the balance beam, fourth place on the floor exercise, and fifth place on the parallel bar.
The Hypolito Brothers will travel to Madrid, Spain, next Tuesday (9th).
