The year 2009 will be remembered by Diego Hypolito, the Brazilian gymnast who won his first four-time floor champion in the Super Final. Diego Hypolito concluded his international competition season with another gold medal.

Last Saturday (14/11), during the World Cup stage in Stuttgart, Germany, the Brazilian gymnast took first place in the final of the apparatus that is his specialty, with a score of 15,825 points. The day before, in the qualifiers, Diego had already obtained the record score of the year among all athletes, 15,900 (according to the new scoring code).

"With this gold medal, I can guarantee that 2009 was the best year of my entire career. It's been a long time since I've been this happy. I'm going through an unforgettable moment, with ideal physical shape and full of confidence. I decided to do a new series here in Germany, where the level of difficulty was much higher. But everything worked out in a competition that brought together several finalists from the last World Championships in London, such as Dragulescu from Romania and Shatilov from Israel, among others," Diego celebrated.
