Artistic gymnastics team is Brazilian champion
All the championship podiums had at least one red-and-black gymnast

Last Sunday (03.08), the Constâncio Vieira Sports Gymnasium hosted the II Caixa Stage of Artistic Gymnastics, after the Brazilian Adult Championship of the modality. After the red-black gymnasts climbed to all the podiums by apparatus, the Flamengo team was champion by teams of the Brazilian Adult Championship.
After the individual all-around and team champions were determined, the final day of competition was dedicated to the apparatus finals, with a packed gymnasium featuring Brazil's best gymnasts. Luisa Parente, head of the Mais Querido delegation and also the club's gymnastics manager, commented on the girls' performance.
"The team performance was the best possible. It was really the goal to finish first. The girls did very well on the last day, in the team competition, showing great unity, enthusiasm, and motivation. We are proud of their performances and of Flamengo's placing. This is a year that the team result was achieved, I am very pleased with the girls and they are very pleased with themselves, that is very cool," she praised.
Luisa believes that the athletes can further develop their potential in the apparatus competition. "Individually, analyzing each day of competition, the girls had some flaws, but they can improve a lot, but we still made it to the podium in all the apparatus finals, and in the parallel bars, we had gold, silver, and bronze for Flamengo. The girls are in a phase where they're developing technical work plans for Flamengo and the national team, so sometimes they mix up the intensity of their training a bit. Right after the Brazilian Championships, most of them will compete in the Pan American Championships for Brazil. We hope they'll be 100% for this championship and then back to 100% again in October, at the world championships," she concluded.
