Athletes on permanent call-up to the Brazilian National Team praise new equipment and Rhayane de Araújo joins the club

Last Thursday (14.01), the Flamengo gymnasts permanently called up to the Brazilian National Team trained for the first time at the Cláudio Coutinho gymnasium after the renovation. The girls also had the presence of Flamengo's new artistic gymnastics coach, Rhayane de Araújo, who was alongside the other coaches, Ricardo Pereira and Keli Kitaura.

From now on, the coaching staff expects the "Mais Querido" team's representatives on Team Brazil to train at least once a month at the Gávea headquarters. During this first training session, the adult gymnasts also participated in an exchange program with the younger athletes from the youth teams, who trained in the same location with coach Dani Oliveira.

Rebeca Andrade, one of the Rubro-Negro's key players, said she's "very happy to be home" again. Keli, meanwhile, praised the gym's new features. "The equipment is very good; everything is beautiful and functional," she said. Pictured below, from left to right, are Ricardo, Keli, Rhayane, and Dani.

The Claudio Coutinho gym was reopened in December of last year, after renovations that made it one of the best places to practice the sport in the country. The ceremony was attended by the club's athletes and coaches, as well as renowned former gymnasts.

The gymnastics teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsor – MRS Logística – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sport (IR).
