The Brazilian Gymnastics Championship team final will be held in August.
Competition will be held at the Brazilian Specialist Championship, in Santos
By Helena Petry - inOne of the year's most important artistic gymnastics competitions just got even more important. The Brazilian Specialist Championships in August will also host the team finals of the Brazilian Championships, which were canceled on June 24 due to a power outage at the Adib Moysés Dib gymnasium in São Bernardo do Campo, São Paulo.

The competition, which rewards the best athletes on each apparatus, will take place between August 15 and 19, also in the state of São Paulo, in the city of Santos. The team final will be held on Saturday (18), the first day of competition.
The Mais Querido had finished the qualifying phase of the Brazilian Championship in first place, totaling 161.800 points. Coach Ângelo Sabino assured that the goal is to maintain that position.
"Ideally, it would have been in São Bernardo, as planned. We've been planning to compete in teams since November, but we're excited. We qualified there in first place, three points ahead of second place, so we remain motivated, training, and preparing to try to maintain or even improve our result," said the red-and-black coach.
"We've had more time to train, and the girls are managing to do some more difficult things. We'll try to do our best there and maintain our first-place result," she added.
At the Brazilian Championships, Jade Barbosa won the silver medal in the individual all-around competition. The gymnast will be one of Flamengo's weapons in the Brazilian Specialist Championships.
The artistic gymnastics teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), in addition to support from the Brazilian Committee of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
