Flamengo will have seven athletes in the Brazilian Youth Artistic Gymnastics Championship, which will be held on September 14th and 15th in Aracaju, Sergipe. Rebeca Andrade, Milena Theodoro, Thauany Araújo, Julie Kim Sinmon, Lorenna Antunes, and Gabryella Nunes will be coached by Keli Kitaura and Francisco Porath. The sole representative in the men's competition is Pedro Barbosa, who will be coached by Nei Lopes.
"We have a good chance of winning another team medal. Flamengo will compete for gold against Cegin (PR)," said Ana Paula Luck, technical coordinator of artistic gymnastics at Mais Querido. "In the individual all-around, Rebeca Andrade will compete with two other girls, Flavia Saraiva and Lorrane dos Santos, for first place. The three are the strongest, but our other gymnasts here at the club are also good, and if they get everything right, they'll do well," she added.
The red-black delegation will embark for Aracaju on the morning of next Thursday (12.09).
