Flamengo's young women's artistic gymnastics talents performed well in Mexico. Maria Heloisa Moreno and Helen Benevides, both just 13 years old, won the team silver medal at the Junior Pan American Championships in Guadalajara.

The champion team was the United States, with 161.700 points. Brazil came in second with 147.250 points, and Argentina completed the podium with 145.750.

"We're all very happy with the girls' performance. It's the renewal of Flamengo's gymnastics that's bearing fruit. They're in their first year in the category and still have a lot of room to grow," said technical coordinator Georgette Vidor.

The athletes arrive in Brazil on Tuesday and the following day return to training at the Claudio Coutinho gym in Gávea.

The artistic gymnastics teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), in addition to support from the Brazilian Committee of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
