This Thursday (22.05), the red-and-black artistic gymnastics team began activities for the Brazil Trophy, at the Sest Senat gymnasium, in Bento Gonçalves (RS). The girls will compete among one hundred athletes from 25 clubs, until Sunday (25.05). The competition opens the national calendar of the Brazilian Gymnastics Confederation (CBG).

Seven gymnasts make up the group: Rebeca Andrade, Milena Theodoro, Thauany Araujo, Letícia Costa, Isabelle Cruz, Maria Cecília, and Julie Kim. The delegation also includes coaches Ricardo Pereira, Keli Kitaura, and Francisco Porath. Luisa Parente, the club's gymnastics manager, will lead the delegation. Keli has high expectations for the competition. "The preparation was very good, and I believe the girls will compete well. We have a chance at medals," she said. The seven red-and-black gymnasts, selected from the Brazilian national team, will compete on all apparatuses, increasing the club's chances of finals and medals in this stage, which has cash prizes.

On Friday (23.05), artistic gymnastics training continues and, on Saturday (24.05), at 9 am, the competitions begin. On Sunday (25.05), there will be more presentations, valid for the I Caixa de Ginástica Stage, from 9:40 am to 11:40 am. Entry is free.
