This Saturday morning (20) was a shower of medals for the red-black artistic gymnastics. The adult and youth female teams and the adult male team won the title of the State Championship, organized by FGERJ, at Arena Carioca 3, in the Olympic Park, in Barra da Tijuca.

In the adult category, veteran Dany Hipólito shone and with a beautiful performance on the floor won the gold medal.

"It's always a great honor to compete for Flamengo. This club is my life. So I'll always do my best. Today I was able to help my team and put in a good performance. I'm very happy," said Dany.  

Jade Barbosa also did well and secured first place on the uneven bars.

"I can't even remember how many state championships I've competed in. But returning to compete for Flamengo is always incredible. And the best part is seeing this gymnasium packed with people cheering us on. Definitely an inspiration for the new generation that's emerging," he said.

 Maria Heloisa Moreno was the best in vault and balance beam, winning two gold medals.

In the youth category, Maria Eduarda Montesino won the all-around and floor exercise, while Maria Luisa Barros won the uneven exercise. Maria Heloisa Moreno again won the vault and balance beam and also secured a bronze medal on the floor exercise.

In the Children's category, Flamengo occupied the top three positions on the podium in the individual all-around. Gold went to Isabel Aguilar, silver to Maria Eduarda Montesino, and bronze to Larissa Kelly de Oliveira. In the Pre-Child category, Julie Costa Vianna was the champion.

The Flamengo men's team, led by coach Roberto Nassar, took the adult state title. Matheus Jorge won gold in the all-around, Guilherme Matias silver, and Cauã Jorge bronze.  

At the competition's closing ceremony, Rio de Janeiro Gymnastics Federation president Bruno Chateaubriand paid tribute to Flamengo's senior team. Rebeca Andrade, Flavia Saraiva, Jade Barbosa, Lorraine Oliveira, and Danielle Hipólito received plaques for their services to Brazilian sport.
