The final day of the Brazilian Gymnastics Trophy, held in Porto Alegre, was filled with thrilling and emotional moments. Flamengo won four more medals, one gold and three silver.

Having recovered from ankle surgery, Flávia Saraiva defeated Rebeca Andrade on the balance beam to win the gold medal at the Brazil Trophy. The Olympic medalist from last year's Tokyo Games took silver, while Thais Fidelis took bronze.

The battle between Flávia and Rebeca was very close: 14,433 to 14,333. Jade Barbosa even entered the podium fight, but ended up suffering two falls. She was left without a medal.

"I was feeling really good. I was really focused and prepared really well to compete on the balance beam. It was great to be back after surgery and to be able to perform really well," said Flávia Saraiva, who complained a bit about the cold in Rio Grande do Sul during the competitions. "It was a bit of a hindrance, but little by little we're adapting and getting warmer," she added.

Concluding his participation in the competition, Diogo Soares, the newest member of the red-black team, won two more silver medals, on the parallel bars and on the fixed bar.

Flamengo also received the 2021 Women's Efficiency Trophy this Sunday, for being the most successful club last year.
