Flamengo continues to make history in artistic gymnastics and ensures an even brighter future for the sport. Rebeca Andrade, Flávia Saraiva, Jade Barbosa, and Lorrane Oliveira have renewed their contracts with the club. With this stellar team, Mengão reinforces its position as one of the sport's leading powers in Brazil, investing in talent, infrastructure, and the growth of Flamengo's gymnastics.

Rebeca Andrade, Brazil's all-time Olympic medalist with six medals, has played for Flamengo since 2011 and has renewed her contract with the club for another four years. Among the best in the world, the athlete continues with the Mais Querido team, bringing her experience and talent to another full Olympic cycle.

"I'm very happy to renew my contract with Flamengo once again. I've been wearing this jersey for many years, and it's an honor to carry the club's name to the world. I believe we still have many achievements ahead of us and a bright future ahead of us. This renewal makes me even more motivated and proud to continue writing my story here," said Rebeca Andrade.

Maintaining the relationship with the gymnastics athletes was a source of satisfaction for Flamengo, and was praised by president Luiz Eduardo Baptista (BAP): "The renewal of contracts with all of Flamengo's Olympic athletes and medalists undeniably reaffirms the club's commitment to continued support for Olympic sports in Brazil. We believe that the Sports Incentive Law, which is expected to have a fixed term, should be permanent, as are laws that encourage culture and other areas in the country."

Flávia Saraiva is another athlete with a history at Flamengo. She has been wearing the Red-Black Mantle since 2016 and achieved her best career result at the Paris Olympic Games, becoming only the second Brazilian in history to finish among the top ten gymnasts in the world. Flavinha will remain at Gávea for another four years.

"It's great to renew my contract and continue for another four years with the Nation! It's an honor to represent Flamengo, a gigantic club, and to be able to consistently compete at a high level. Wearing this jersey and carrying the Mengão name in Brazilian and international championships is a huge responsibility and a source of pride. I can only thank the fans for their unconditional support. It's pure joy!" celebrated Flávia Saraiva.

Jade Barbosa, who has been with the club since she was five and is one of the most experienced gymnasts in the country, has renewed her contract for another year. The athlete won bronze alongside the Brazilian national team in the team final in Paris: "When we started gymnastics, we never imagined the scale it would become. It was impossible to make a living from gymnastics, and today it's different. Having the sport as a profession is an achievement, and Flamengo plays a fundamental role in that. Renewing my contract and continuing alongside the girls motivates me even more, and I'm certain we'll have Flamengo in Los Angeles."

A member of the bronze medal quintet in Paris and a representative at the 2016 Rio Olympics, Lorrane Oliveira, who joined Flamengo at age seven, will also remain with the team in 2025: "It's a huge honor to continue representing this club, which has always been my favorite and my passion. I arrived very young, and today, at 27, I continue to wear this jersey with the same dedication and love. I can only be grateful for this journey and for this opportunity."

The gymnasts' unprecedented feat, winning the team medal at Paris 2024, solidified Brazil's place among the sport's powerhouses and further reinforced Flamengo's importance in the training and development of high-level athletes.
