Clube de Regatas do Flamengo has renewed gymnast Rebeca Andrade's contract until 2028. With six Olympic medals, the athlete will continue to represent Flamengo, consolidating her successful career in the national and international artistic gymnastics scene.

Rebeca, one of the biggest names in Brazilian sports, celebrated the new agreement as an opportunity to continue her development. "Flamengo is my second home, the place where I was able to shape the athlete I wanted to be. It's wonderful to continue here, receiving this respect and recognition, and pursuing my goals. Receiving everyone's affection is very special," the gymnast declared.

Present at the event held this Thursday were Reinaldo Belotti, CEO of Flamengo, Rodrigo Dunshee, the club's general and legal vice president, and Deborah Frochtengarten, vice president of Olympic sports.

Rebeca's career is historic: she won gold in vault and silver in the individual all-around at the Tokyo Olympics, becoming the first Brazilian woman to reach the podium in artistic gymnastics. In Paris, she expanded her legacy, winning four more medals and becoming Brazil's most decorated Olympic medalist. Furthermore, she has world titles that reinforce her position as a global figure in the sport.

"Flamengo is a multi-sport club, not just soccer or rowing. Artistic gymnastics is one of Flamengo's highlights. We are very happy to renew with Rebeca because of everything she represents for the country, the club, and the world. Besides being an Olympic champion, she was named one of the 100 most influential women in the world. Rebeca is a source of pride for the Flamengo nation. It is a tremendous honor to have her with us for another Olympic cycle. Representing Brazil and Flamengo is an immense joy," said Rodrigo Dunshee, Flamengo's vice president.

Deborah Frochtengarten also shared her emotions at the event. "I was a swimmer here at Flamengo and won every possible and desirable title, but I didn't reach the Olympic qualification level. Even so, I felt fulfilled representing Flamengo in Paris. Seeing Rebeca shine is incredibly moving for me. I also thank Georgette Vidor for all her dedication to the sport," she said emotionally.
