Flamengo renews Rebeca Andrade's contract
Olympic champion will wear the Sacred Mantle until the end of 2024

Flamengo renewed, on Monday afternoon (29.11), the contract of Olympic and world champion Rebeca Andrade. The athlete, who has been with the club for 10 years, signed a new commitment until the end of 2024, aiming at the Paris Olympic Games.
Present at the signing were the president of Rubro-Negro, Rodolfo Landim, the vice-president of Olympic Sports, Guilherme Kroll, the vice-president of Communication and Marketing, Gustavo Oliveira, the club's CEO, Reinaldo Belotti, and the director of Olympic Sports at Mais Querido, Marcelo Vido.
"It's incredibly important to be able to count on Rebeca for another three years as a Flamengo athlete. The Red-Black Nation was certainly very proud of her achievements, both at the Olympics and the World Cup, and I'm sure she'll have plenty more to celebrate. We truly believe in everything Rebeca does. I thank her for her trust, for wearing our Mantle, and for honoring the Flamengo jersey," said president Rodolfo Landim.
The athlete received a personalized shirt with her name and the number 2024. She did not hide her joy at remaining at the club, which she affectionately calls her second home.
"Today is a very important day for me. It was at Flamengo that I was able to develop all my talent and potential, and it is a great pleasure to sign this contract for another three years. I sign with great pride; after all, this is my second home. I hope to continue here for many, many years," he stated.
Vice President of Olympic Sports, Guilherme Kroll, says the club is already assembling an Olympic team with Paris in mind.
"This is a very special moment here at Flamengo. We're already thinking about Paris 2024. Nothing better to symbolize the beginning of this work than the renewal of Rebeca Andrade's contract. The Landim administration offers the nation three more years of a young woman who grew up at the club and will be representing us for a long time to come," concluded Kroll.
The artistic gymnastics teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), in addition to support from the Brazilian Committee of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
