Flamengo renews Jade Barbosa's contract.

At the club since she was five years old, the gymnast has signed for another season.

One of the greatest athletes in the history of artistic gymnastics, Jade Barbosa will continue wearing the Sacred Mantle. The athlete has signed a contract renewal with the club until the end of 2026 and will remain representing our colors. 

Jade, who has been with Flamengo since she was five years old, has had a remarkable career in sports and first caught the country's attention in 2007 when she won gold in the team event and silver in the individual all-around at the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro. That same year, she shone at the World Cup, becoming champion in the vault, and also achieved good results at the World Championships, winning silver in the team event and bronze in the floor exercise.

In 2011, the gymnast repeated the feat at the Pan American Games in Guadalajara, winning gold in the team event and bronze in the vault. The following season, she reached the podium again at the World Cup, finishing first in the vault. Furthermore, she also participated in three Olympic Games and was part of the team that made history with the team bronze medal in Paris.

A multiple-time champion on national soil, Jade has a strong connection with Flamengo and is a role model for newcomers starting their careers. Recently, she became a mother for the first time and received a tribute from the entire group.
