Three Flamengo artistic gymnastics athletes will represent Brazil at the Gymnasiade, which begins this Thursday (November 28.11) in Brasília. They are: Rebeca Andrade, Lorenna Antunes, and Julie Kim Sinmon, as well as Keli Kitaura, Flamengo's coach who is part of the Brazilian National Team's coaching staff. The competition is for young people aged 14 to 17 and will feature eight disciplines.
"I believe Rebeca can win a medal. She's doing very well. I was able to watch her in her last competition and saw that she's in very good form. She has a wonderful vault and excellent floor acrobatics," said Ana Paula Luck, Flamengo's artistic gymnastics coordinator. "Lorena Antunes and Julie Kim have improved a lot, especially Lorena. Alexander Alexandrov, the coach of the Brazilian national team, really likes her," she added.
The Gymnasiade opening ceremony will be held at 16 p.m. this Thursday at the Nilson Nelson Gymnasium, the same venue where the competition will conclude on December 29.11. The artistic gymnastics events will be held on November 30.11, November 02.12, December 03.12, and December XNUMX.
