The year started off very well for Flávia Saraiva and Rebeca Andrade. The Flamengo gymnasts, who are in Italy with the Brazilian national team, participated in the traditional Trofeo Città di Jesolo competition last weekend (April 01st and 02.04nd) and are bringing home four medals.

The first podium came on Saturday (April 01.04), when the Brazilian girls took second place in the team event. On the same day, Rebeca secured silver in the individual all-around, scoring 56,000 points on all four apparatuses. Sunday (April 02.04) was the day of the apparatus finals. Rebeca qualified on the uneven bars, balance beam, and floor exercise, where she finished fourth. Flavia secured silver on balance beam and gold on floor exercise, making it to the podium twice on the same day.

The next international challenge for the Brazilian artistic gymnastics team is the World Cup stages, in May.

The Flamengo Regatas Club's artistic gymnastics teams receive funding from their sponsors—AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, and EY—via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), as well as support from the Brazilian Club Committee (CBC) through the decentralization of resources from the Pelé Law. The Flamengo Guardian Angel Project, a personal tax transfer, benefits all Olympic sports of the Most Beloved Club.
