Last Saturday (24.06) the athletes who will represent Brazil in the Pan-American Artistic Gymnastics Specialists were announced, the selection took place in the city of São Bernardo do Campo. Flávia Saraiva, an athlete from Mais Querido, was one of those classified and will represent Mais Querido and the Brazilian team in Peru.
During the qualifiers, the athletes performed complete sets, and the total of the two days determined who qualified. Rubro-Negro gymnasts Luisa Carvalho Kirchmayer, Milleny Esteves Souza, and Isabelle Cruz also participated but failed to qualify. Training continues at the Claudio Coutinho Gymnasium, and the athletes continue their intense preparation for the Brazilian championship, which will be held in August.
The Flamengo Regatas Club's artistic gymnastics teams receive funding from their sponsors—AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, and EY—via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), as well as support from the Brazilian Club Committee (CBC) through the decentralization of resources from the Pelé Law. The Flamengo Guardian Angel Project, a personal tax transfer, benefits all Olympic sports of the Most Beloved Club.
